Wellbeing Prescribing volunteer
The role is to help clients access the services they need to prevent worsening of health. Main activities: The Wellbeing Prescribing Service supports residents of Slough to access community and voluntary provisions with an aim of improving social inclusion and preventing worsening of health we are looking for volunteers to support the service. The role will involve engaging with clients via the telephone, who have been referred by their GP or Social Worker, to understand their needs, referring them to the appropriate organisations and following up with the progress of referrals. Experience sought: The volunteers need some understanding of the organisations, groups and charities that are available in Slough. Due to the nature of the conversations, the volunteer should also be a good listener and communicator who can cope with emotionally charged conversations. It would also be a bonus if the volunteer could speak another language. Training provision;
