The Burnham Foundation was founded to reflect the spirit engendered around the 2012 Olympiad and aims to attract funding via donations and legacies from within the Burnham community. The funds generated are then invested back into Burnham to encourage volunteering, sports and the arts for both the disabled and able bodied members of the community. The three existing trustees are all in their seventieth year and seek help to continue to develop TBF’s website in order to attract funders and applicants for grants. Furthermore – an understanding and ability to use the new forms of social media and communication would also be invaluable. Benefits to the Volunteer To have the opportunity to utilise valuable ICT skills within an enabling and worthwhile context. To contribute to a growing organisation which serves as a valuable resource within its local community. To work in a team with other capable and proactive community members. To have some fun doing something worthwhile. Opportunity Availability At any time on any day throughout the year on an ongoing basis for hopefully at least one to two years. And to help find a successor should you move on. No DBS disclosure check is required. No TBF associate is remunerated although any reasonable expenses are met.
